There has never been a better time to purchase properties in Italy.

According to Héra, despite the average market data registered in the last years, the Italian luxury properties as well as the top and prime locations are performing on a completely different trend.

Data provided by Nomisma – a research company – show the reduction of the yearly number of Italian transactions within main Italian cities, from 566,299 registered in 2011 the forecast to the year-end is approximately 529,000.
The prices of homes went down 1.8% in 2012 compared to 2011, whereas the prices of non-new homes assisted to a 2% decrease in 2012.
On the other hand, the market is currently showing some glimmers of recovery because of the growing attention, both from builders and from buyers, to projects aimed to the urban requalification of deprived areas and to eco-sustainability interventions.
At present, Investment Funds are looking again at Italy as a country to invest and, at the same time, some prestigious historical buildings are on the market for sale.
